Biography

My career is deeply rooted in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), focusing on curriculum development and assessment for university foundation and postgraduate programs. In previous leadership roles at a private international foundation provider, I supported English Programme Leaders in designing and delivering effective EAP curricula. At the University of Birmingham, I have taught on the pre-sessional, in-sessional and foundation programmes. I developed the credit-bearing "Academic English for Engineers" module. My PhD research culminated in the Lecture Introduction Framework, a pedagogical tool created to enhance students’ understanding of academic lectures, reflecting my interests in Corpus Linguistics and Genre Analysis.
