Annika Beelitz is a Lecturer in Accounting at Birmingham Business School. Annika is currently the Senior Academic Tutor of the Department of Accounting. 

Qualifications

  • PhD in Accounting, Bangor University, 2017
  • MSc in Accounting and Finance, Bangor University, 2010
  • BA in International Cultural and Business Studies, University of Passau, 2009

Postgraduate supervision

Annika is interested in supervising qualitative research project (predominantly interpretive text analyses) in the areas of corporate social responsibility and reporting and corporate communication. She is interested in supervising topics such as:
• Corporate communication around corporate crisis situations
• Corporate communication on climate change and related topics
• Corporate communication and reporting on carbon emissions

Research

Annika’s research interests are corporate social responsibility and reporting and corporate communication. Her research is inter-disciplinary and focuses in particular on corporate communication in response to reputational or legitimacy crises.
