Jayne Cathcart is a Research Fellow in Strategy and International Business at the University of Birmingham. She is currently contributing to the MNEDEVELOP project, which investigates how multinational enterprises (MNEs) can support inclusive development in emerging markets.
Jayne holds a PhD and master’s degree in management from Queen’s University Belfast. Her doctoral research explored consumer perceptions of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Sweden and the UK.
Prior to her current role, Jayne was a Teaching Associate at Alliance Manchester Business School, where she supported learning on the MSc in International Business and Management programme. She also has practical experience in policy, project management, and supply chain management roles.
In her current role, Jayne has presented at several international conferences, including Academy of International Business (AIB) Latin America and Caribbean Chapter, AIB UKI and the European International Business Academy (EIBA). Her research interests lie in the intersection of business and sustainability, with current work contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals- particularly SDG 8, which promotes sustainable economic growth.
