Francesco is a Lecturer in Economics at the UoB and a Visiting Fellow at the LSE. His research lies at the intersection of labour economics, health economics and political economy, using applied econometric methods to study how institutions and economic shocks shape workers, firms and political behaviour. His current work examines the effects of employment protection and mass layoffs, as well as how voters, politicians and the media respond to changes in electoral institutions and salient political issues.
