Vassili Crispi is a Academic Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery. Vassili’s research interests are in brain tumours, cancer genomics and translational clinical trials to improve patient outcomes.

Biography

Vassili graduate from Hull York Medical School in 2021 having also completed an intercalated MSc in Clinical Anatomy with Distinction in 2019. Vassili undertook Academic Foundation Training in Neurosurgery and Immersive Technologies in West Yorkshire (Leeds General Infirmary).

Vassili is currently completing his Academic Clinical Fellowship in Neurosurgery (2024-Present), investigating long read sequencing for rapid diagnosis in brain tumours and its role within the existing NHS pathways.

Research

Vassili Crispi is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery at the Department of Cancer and Genomic Sciences at the University of Birmingham and neurosurgery trainee in the West Midlands. Their research is currently focused on fast diagnostic array diagnosis of gliomas and enhancing patient understanding and empowerment via immersive technology.
