Ruth is a lecturer on the Physician Associate Studies Programme, supporting members of the faculty to deliver teaching across a broad spectrum of topics.

Ruth also works in Primary Care as a Physician Associate.

Biography

After qualifying at the end of 2011, Ruth started her career as a PA in 2012 initially working in secondary care for a year and then moving into primary care in Sandwell.

She had a year working at a GP practice in North Worcestershire before moving back to work in Sandwell in 2017, taking on a Lead Physician Associate role within a GP partnership of 6 surgeries employing up to 8 Physician Associates. As the Lead PA for this partnership Ruth is responsible for the wellbeing and development of the team.
