Alexandra Chase is a Lecturer on the Postgraduate Physician Associate Studies course. She is Year 2 Lead and Assessment Lead for the programme. Alexandra works clinically as a Physician Associate in General Practice.

Biography

Alexandra is a UK-trained Physician Associate who joined the University of Birmingham Physician Associate course faculty in 2015. She works clinically as a Physician Associate in General Practice. Prior to this Alexandra worked in Cardiology at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and in Acute Medicine at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

Alexandra is currently Year 2 Lead and Assessment Lead for the Physician Associate course. She also leads on the Acute Medicine rotation.

Alexandra has been involved in aiding the continued development of the PA role since she began her training in 2008. She is currently a board member on the Faculty of Physician Associate at the Royal College of Physicians.

She was bestowed the award of 'PA of the Year' at the 2013 UK Association of Physician Associates (now the Faculty of Physician Associates at the Royal College of Physicians) National Conference.
