Dr Debby Condy attended UoB medical school as a student, working in Birmingham and the Black Country throughout her medical career. She trained as a GP and early in her career became an honorary clinical lecturer, teaching groups of students in her GP surgery. She has mentored students from Y1-5 as part of the Community Based Medicine programme. She is a passionate GP whose main interests are patient centred care and undergraduate education.
Debby joined the UoB staff in 2015 and has lead the CBM module in year 2 and year 5. She was responsible for developing materials for on line teaching during the covid pandemic.
Debby is currently the Year 5 Lead on the MBChB programme, coordinating a team of module leads, overseeing teaching and learning for final year students, and developing and facilitating assessments including national exams such as Prescribing Safety Assessment and GMC Applied knowledge test.
