I am the current Programme Director for Biomedical Sciences in the University of Birmingham Dubai campus.  I handle varied aspects in the management of the programme which involves liaising and collaborating with academic leaders in both the Edgbaston and Dubai campuses. I manage the academic team that teaches and facilitates learning activities across the varied modules of the Biomedical Sciences programme in Dubai.

Part of this role is to ensure an equitable distribution of workload across the academics I manage and provide them with the support they require for professional development. I also ensure that appropriate and excellent pedagogical practice is implemented in all of the learning and teaching activities across all of the programme’s modules. I also provide academic support to the students through consistent dialogue and referring academic issues to appropriate university offices. I also ensure that the student voice is heard by sharing student feedback with the higher academic leadership of the School. I also lead and teach across varied modules in the programme.
