Abdullah Mrad has a PhD in Pharmacology and Nanomedicine from the University of Birmingham, and a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical technology from the School of Pharmacy, Damascus University, Syria. He has experience in the industrial sector working in a Pharmaceutical company and then as a Medical Science Liaison and a Senior Product Specialist. He also has previous experience in academia, teaching practical pharmaceutics to undergraduate pharmacy students at Damascus University, and working as a laboratory demonstrator for MPharm students at University of Birmingham during his PhD.  His previous experience within industry and academia has provided him with a solid understanding of pharmaceutical related sciences.

Teaching

Research

Mrad's PhD focused on optimising the formulation of well-defined nucleus targeting gold nanoparticles as liposomal constructs. While his MRes project was about preparation and in vitro evaluation of oxybutynin transdermal application.
