Helen joined the University of Birmingham in 2023 as an Assistant Professor for the Postgraduate Independent Prescribing Course and as part of the final year MPharm Applied Pharmacy Practice (APP4) module team.

 Helen is an experienced hospital clinical pharmacist and practitioner. Helen has a clinical pharmacy diploma from Bath University, is an Independent Prescriber and an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Geriatric Emergency Medicine in  Secondary Care. Her main areas of research are in diabetes and in frailty, with her publications assessing the impact of independent Prescribing Pharmacists on patient outcomes in Secondary Care.

Helen has always been passionate about teaching and prior to joining UoB in 2023 was a Teacher Practitioner Pharmacist for UoB based at Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust from 2018-2023. Prior to this Helen was a Teacher Practitioner Pharmacist at Aston University from 2016-2018.
