Dr Luciano Maino is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science, specialising in cryptography. His research focuses on the design and cryptanalysis of cryptographic systems that remain secure in the presence of adversaries with quantum capabilites. He is also interested in improving the efficiency of modern quantum-resistant cryptosystems.
Prior to his current role, he was a Research Fellow at University of Birmingham. Before that, he served as a fixed-term lecturer in Cryptography at the University of Bristol.
