Biography

Archibong is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the Dubai Campus of the University of Birmingham. He earned a PhD in Energy Engineering and an MSc in Process Systems Engineering from Cranfield University, UK. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from the University of Birmingham, UK and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Cross River University of Technology, Nigeria.

His research interests are in the broad areas of energy and fluid systems including multiphase, micro-, and nano-fluidics systems (flow diagnostics, visualisations, and measurements); and low, NET zero, and carbon negative technologies (such as co-generation plants, carbon capture, hydrogen fuel cells, and renewable energy). Previously, he worked as Research Fellow and Project Manager on projects cutting across energy, food & beverages, pipelines, water, process, and chemical industries for clients including British Petroleum (Alaska, US and Sunbury, UK), Schlumberger, UK, TotalEnergies, Fluimix, De-Flow, M-Flow, Santander Bank, etc.

He has published over 30 articles in Journals, conference proceedings, and a book chapter. He currently serves as guest editor of a Special Issue in Energies: Multiphase Flow in Energy and Process Systems.

He is a registered Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council (UK’s Engineering regulator), Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and a Registered Mechanical Engineer (R.Engr) with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE).
