Contact details

Cyril is a doctoral student at the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Science (GEES), University of Birmingham, supported by the Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship. He has established collaborative networks, both locally and internationally, aimed at enhancing decision-making processes concerning climate change adaptation and the holistic management of the physical environment.

His current research endeavors revolve around studying the impacts of livelihoods and the associated risks brought about by flooding. He aims to investigate how these factors interplay with the coping mechanisms employed by individuals to mitigate vulnerability to flooding. His goal is to develop comprehensive and feasible coping strategies tailored for implementation in low-income countries. This research intends to contribute significantly to the field, promoting inclusivity and resilience within communities affected by flooding.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Cyril actively engages in peer review editing for research in climate change, livelihoods, and loss and damage. Recently, he assumed a role as a teaching assistant in GEES where he support teaching, seminar, giving constructive feedback to student assessment . Cyril's interests span various hobbies, including reading, football, traveling, and cultivating meaningful interpersonal relationships.
