Andrew Davies leads on all aspects of digital and print communications and marketing for the Barber, including website, email and social media, advertising, media buying, brand and visual identity, and media relations. He contributes to teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate museum studies and curation units.

  • BA (Joint Hons) in Art History and German, University of Nottinggam, 1991.

Biography

Andrew Davies has led the marketing and communications functions at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts since 2003, and is in charge of strategy, delivery and evaluation of the Barber’s digital function and traditional marketing functions for the Barber. These include overseeing the website, social media and emarketing, as well as traditional marketing operations such as print and advertising – from liaising with designers to create exhibition posters and magazine advertisements through to media buying. He is a specialist in media relations, having worked as a newspaper journalist on daily and weekly newspapers in the south west and midlands as senior reporter, feature-writer, sub-editor and news editor.
