Aduloju is an Assistant Professor in Commercial Law and Arbitral Justice at the University of Birmingham, a Notary Public, and the co-founder and Research Rector of the African Arbitration Academy. He is accredited as an External Examiner by Advance HE and holds the status of Associate Fellow of Advance HE. Prior to joining the University of Birmingham, he lectured at the School of Law, Robert Gordon University, Scotland, where he also obtained his LLM and PhD in international Commercial Law and Arbitration. He holds an LLB degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and was called to the Nigerian Bar.
His research interest is in international commercial law and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on the jurisprudence of justice delivery through arbitration to international commercial disputants. He has published extensively in this area, with his works cited in academic literature, and he also serve as editor for the African Journal of International Arbitration.
At Birmingham Law School, Aduloju teaches across seven modules, including Commercial Law, Contract Law, Legal Solutions, Trusts & Equity, and Law, Justice & Ethics at undergraduate level, as well as International Commercial Dispute Resolution at postgraduate level. At Robert Gordon University, he taught Contract Law, Business Law, and Practical Dispute Resolution. He has served as a member of the Academic Board of the School of Law at Robert Gordon University and currently contributes as a member of the Advocacy Team within the Centre for Employability, Professional Legal Education, and Research (CEPLER), where he co-leads the External National Mooting programme at Birmingham Law School.
Aduloju is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Energy Institute, the Socio-Legal Studies Association, the Society of Legal Scholars, the Association of Law Teachers, and the Law and Society Association (USA).
He has been qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria for over 17 years. Before transitioning fully into academia, he had gained more than a decade of experience in active court practice, representing multinational corporations in high-profile civil and commercial disputes before courts and tribunals. He has also provided expert evidence on Nigerian law in foreign proceedings, advised government agencies on complex legal projects, and sat as an arbitrator in both domestic and international arbitral proceedings.
