Dr Soibi Bob-Manuel  is a legal scholar and practitioner specialising in energy and environmental law, with a particular focus on the intersection of climate change, intellectual property, and sustainable development. She holds an LLM in Oil and Gas Law (with Distinction) from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. Her extensive legal practice in Nigeria included corporate commercial law, oil and gas law, intellectual property, energy and natural resources, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.

Biography

Soibi completed her PhD in 2024, where her research explored the legal application of clean energy technologies, examining how climate change law and public goods theory intersect with intellectual property rights. Her scholarship advances understanding of regulatory frameworks that support sustainable energy transitions and equitable access to innovation in developing countries.

Currently, Soibi serves as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Birmingham, where she contributes to both research and teaching in energy and environmental law, climate change law, and sustainable development. She is committed to fostering an engaging learning environment and collaborates with administrative colleagues to enhance the student experience.
