From July 2023 to September 2025, Jo is on secondment to the MBChB Curriculum 2030 project. Previously, as Head of Operations, Jo was responsible for administration and strategic oversight for the Institute of Clinical Sciences where she led a team of 23 staff supporting academics to deliver on HR, finance and strategic activities. The team were also responsible for ensuring compliance with HE sector, University and College requirements.

Biography

Jo began her career in administration in the Colleges of the University of Oxford. She worked in admissions, registry and student services for 13 years before going on to work in education policy for a professional regulatory body.

She returned to the HE sector in 2011 as Department Business Manager in the Department of Psychology at Goldsmiths University and was Director of Administration at Warwick Law School before joining the University of Birmingham in 2016.
