  • PhD in Physics, California Institute of Technology, 2015
  • Master’s in Physics, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, 2011

Dr Denis Martynov started his research in the field of gravitational waves as a graduate student. He developed an automated procedure for bringing the LIGO interferometers to the linear regime.

Denis has also helped to improve the sensitivity of the detectors up to the level when the first direct observation of gravitational waves could occur.
