Dr Melanie Snape has been teaching and supervising on the CBT Programme since its inception at the University of Birmingham in 2004. She currently contributes to CBT training and supervision across the school of Psychology.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy

Biography

Melanie trained as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Birmingham and has been a tutor, lecturer and supervisor for the Clinical Psychology training course since qualifying in 1996. She worked as a Clinical Psychologist for more than 20 years in NHS Adult Community Mental Health services, leading the provision of CBT in her Trust and specialising in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. In September 2016, Melanie took up a part time role, leading the Diploma in CBT course. Having now left the NHS, Melanie has started private clinical practice.
