Crisford is a Teaching Fellow in the Social Work department of the University of Birmingham. He is an experienced and dedicated multidisciplinary professional with a diverse skill set encompassing social work, journalism, international development and knowledge transfer. Cris has expertise in research, lecturing, training, curriculum design, cross-cultural competencies, networking, communication and child safeguarding.

Biography

Crisford has more than 25 years of post-qualifying experience as a social worker and lecturer in Zimbabwe, UK and Australia where he has worked in various capacities ranging from Social Worker, Team Manager, Project Manager and Family Court Advisor (Children’s Guardian). Crisford also has several years of experience of teaching social work and public health as an adjunct at a few universities and university partnerships in London, Manchester and Birmingham. He has previously taught social work at university in United Arab Emirates (Dubai). He has experience supervising BA and Masters dissertations social work and public health. Crisford has also worked for Warwick Medical School/Iheed as an online Research Supervisor for MPH students. He previously worked as a research assistant for a few international organisations in Africa (Zimbabwe), such as the Embassy of Japan, UNICEF and Rockefeller Foundation in association with the University of Zimbabwe.
