Jeremiah is a research associate in systematic reviews with expertise in conducting systematic reviews and evidence synthesis. His background is in public health research ranging from health inequalities, epidemiology and health management and health promotion.

Biography

His journey into evidence-based research began with a bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science (2019-2022), followed by a master's in public health (global health) (2023) at the University of Nottingham, with a specialisation in research and systematic review methods. Prior to joining the university of Warwick, Jeremiah has conducted various reviews in the process, involving the association between exercise and prostate cancer, looking at the incidence cardiovascular disease following influenza among adults and being part of a PhD project focusing on ethnic inequalities in genomic and precision medicine. As a research associate at the Birmingham Centre for Evidence and Implementation Science (BCEIS), he has developed skills across various methodological approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods research, and evidence synthesis. His work has allowed him to explore a broad range of topics, from genomic medicine and health inequalities to communicable and non-communicable diseases and health promotion

Teaching

Jeremiah has experience in supervising modules related to critical appraisal and public health. Additionally, he has been a secondary marker for student dissertations within the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the University of Warwick Medical School

Research

His research has focused on the following areas:

  • Green health prescribing for older people in underserved areas
  • MTA (Multiple Technology Appraisals) and systematic reviews of clinical effectiveness in the context of Spinal Muscular Atrophy
  • Examining the consistency across NICE Single Technology Appraisals for Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria
  • Understanding ethnic inequalities in precision and genomic medicine
  • The incidence of cardiovascular disease following influenza
