Biography Stephanie recently started a career in research psychology as a Research Associate in the School of Social Policy and Society, supervised by Professor Peter Langdon.They have background in psychology and mental health services, having previously worked as a Clinical Psychology Assistant Practitioner within Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, supporting research studies in learning disability services. They worked closely with people with intellectual disabilities, complex PTSD presentations, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, helping to deliver research aimed to improving service provision and wellbeing outcomes.They completed a placement as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist within a Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service. These experiences provided opportunities to work with individuals with learning disabilities, complex mental health needs, stroke, and brain injury, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across NHS settings.Stephanie holds an MSc in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health and has developed interests in psychology, wellbeing, and the factors that influence individual experiences and outcomes.They are particularly interested in how evidence-based research can inform policy, practice, and service development to improve the lives of individuals and communities.
