Year Three
Extending the theoretical work undertaken at Level 2, this module will provide an in-depth examination of sport psychology theory and research. This module will focus on the nature and content of interventions designed to foster the psychological preparation, mental skills, and motivation of golfers. The module will entail a reading of the applied sport psychology literature centred on the topics of interest with application made specific to golfers and golf instructors. Psychological measurement in applied settings and methodological and evaluative strategies for examining the effectiveness of intervention efforts will also be addressed.
