Year One

In this module students will be introduced to movement and learning as it relates to sport coaching and physical education (PE). Building from theories of learning, perception and the control of movement, students will develop a broad knowledge of how movement is created and controlled. Research evidence will be examined, and consideration given to how coaches and PE teachers might ensure that their practice is research informed. Finally, students will translate the theoretical content into practical advice for coaches and PE teachers and consider how research can inform the design of practice and skill development.
