Award Description
This scholarship is offered to International students with overseas fees status who have applied for one of the above courses and placed Birmingham as their firm choice. Applications are assessed on academic merit. Scholarships are not paid directly to successful applicants, but will take the form of a fee reduction at the beginning of the programme.
Value of Award
This scholarship is valued at £3,000 per year of study and is awarded as a tuition fee contribution paid directly to the Law School on behalf of the student.
To retain this scholarship students must gain a minimum of a 2:1 (60%+) in each year of study. Should these grades not be achieved the scholarship will be withdrawn for the remainder of the programme.
Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is open to students classified as Overseas for fee purposes who have applied for one of the following courses and placed Birmingham as firm choice by Monday 24 May 2021.
- LLB Law
- LLB with Criminology
- LLB International Law and Globalisation
- LLB with Business
- LLB for Graduates
- LLB with French Law
- LLB with German Law
Students in receipt of support from other funding bodies which wholly cover their tuition are not eligible.
How to Apply
Applicants are required to complete the LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarship application form. The application includes a 300 word statement, in which students should address why they should be made an award. You must include your UCAS ID number in your application.
