Join us for an evening of music and talks from University of Birmingham academics who will help to unpick the Peaky Blinders phenomenon and share their thoughts on the lasting effect of the series on our city and region.

The Peaky Blinders television series is a worldwide phenomenon which has placed Birmingham into the imaginations of millions around the world. From the lives of working-class Brummies in the inter war period, to the endearing accent, the show has portrayed life in Birmingham in new ways to new audiences. But how close is this to the reality of people living in Birmingham at the time and what has been the impact of the show on the city and region?
