We are delighted to announce the second CEPLER Annual Essay Competition, open to any student nationwide who is studying law for the first time. The winner receives as iPad, and their essay will be published in the prestigious CEPLER Working Paper Series

This year's essay title is:

"A 'brexit' would be a serious threat to London as the centre of globalised legal services. Discuss"

The competition closes on Thursday 19 November 2015.

Submissions must be no more than 1,500 words and will be judged by Martin Coleman (partner at Norton Rose Fulbright), Jenny Crewe (Strategic Policy Manager at the Law Society), and Steven Vaughan (Director of Education at CEPLER). Read the full competition rules.

Last year's competition attracted entries from 12 universities, answering the theme of  'In an age of austerity, access to justice is a luxury.' The winning entry by Mr Chris Richards of City University, London, can be downloaded here
