Excellent career prospects
Birmingham graduates go on to do great things. From accountancy, business analysis, local government to national security and mathematical research, there are a huge range of career paths for you.
At Birmingham we believe in engaging teaching and learning. In addition to traditional lectures and exercise classes, you will have projects, group work, problem solving sessions and weekly small group tutorials in groups of six to eight students.
Social atmosphere and engaged students
The student-led society MathSoc runs numerous social, as well as career enhancing events, every term. The highlight of the MathSoc year is the Annual Spring Ball, but there are lots of other events including termly parties, careers fairs and a weekend trip to a university centre in the Lake District.
