Birmingham’s sports teams put in great performances at the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) championships. Birmingham performs consistently well and this year particular success was achieved in the following sports:
- Women’s hockey
- Judo
- Swimming
- Squash
- Fencing
- Cross Country
- Indoor athletics
- Water polo
The University of Birmingham is one of the UK’s best sporting universities, regularly finishing in the top 3 of the BUCS championship. We call it ‘Playing with Pride’ and one of the reasons why student athletes from across the country and around the world choose to study, train and compete at the University.
