Founded in March 2015, the BRIHC provides a dynamic and interdisciplinary focal point for the research conducted across the School of History and Cultures. Crossing traditional boundaries of chronology, geography, and methodology, it brings together scholars from the departments of History, Classics, Ancient History and Archaeology, and African Studies.
We invite applications for ten BRIHC postgraduate scholarships beginning in September 2017.
Value of Award
This fees-only scholarship is available to both full-time (one year) and part-time (two year) students. Scholarships will only cover tuition fees paid at the Home / EU rate. Overseas students are eligible to apply, but will receive the Home/EU fee as a contribution towards fees,
This scholarship is open to candidates interested in pursuing a taught Masters or MRes programme in any of the disciplines and fields covered by the School of History and Cultures. This is only open to campus based applicants commencing their studies in September.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a track record of excellence in their field and be able to meet the normal entry requirements for the University of Birmingham’s Masters programmes.
