The Birmingham Centre for Translation brings together staff and students from across the College of Arts and Law with research and teaching interests in Translation Studies.

Marina Pekris, who is currently completing an MA in Translation Studies, has been offered a five-month paid translation traineeship at the European Union Directorate-General for Translation in Brussels.
BCT Director Dr Hilary Brown has been invited to speak at a conference on "Translators and Printers in Renaissance Europe: Framing Identity and Agency" at the Institute of Modern Languages Research, University of London (29 – 30 September 2016).
