Work on hydrogen fuel carried out by scientists within the School of Biosciences has recently been featured in podcasts on The Naked Scientists website. Both Professor Lynne Macaskie and Dr Mark Redwood were interviewed for the website and you can listen to their podcasts via the following links:

  • Integrated Biorefinieries - Lynne Macaskie describes how Bacteria, Chemistry, Metals and Bio-wastes can all be combined to maximise the production of Hydrogen gas in the future.
  • Sourcing Hydrogen from Biomass - Mark Redwood discusses how bacteria can be harnessed to produce hydrogen from all forms of biodegradable waste.
