Birmingham Chemistry has been voted number one in the country for student satisfaction.  In the 2013–14 National Student Survey, 98% of Birmingham Chemistry students who responded said that overall, they were satisfied with the quality of their course.  Head of Education, Dr. John Snaith, said “we are delighted that Birmingham students have voted us top out of all Chemistry schools and departments in the National Student Survey.  It reflects the way in which staff have responded to student feedback to shape our undergraduate Chemistry programmes.”

The recently released national graduate employability data ranked the School of Chemistry 6th within the 20 Russell Group School's of Chemistry. This is a clear indication that a Chemistry degree from the University of Birmingham is highly valued by employers. At the same time our Chemistry students enjoy their experience, with high levels of student satisfaction over the last 6 years at 90% or better, and ranked 1st in the Russell Group in 2013 and 2014.
