Amy Routledge in Vancouver

Congratulations to our doctoral researcher Amy Routledge, who was selected to represent the University of Birmingham at the Universitas 21 Global Leadership Student Summit in Vancouver in May.

Amy won this honour in recognition of the success of the Shakespeare Undergraduate Revision Day, which she devised and introduced last year on the University of Birmingham's undergraduate Shakespeare course.

Amy revived and enhanced a version of the Revision Day this year, working with other Institute students and, for the first time, the Shakespeare Institute Players.

She had this to say about her time in Vancouver:

'This was an incredible opportunity to exchange ideas about teaching and learning with student and academic leaders from across the globe (and of course, a wonderful chance to explore the vibrant host university and city!).  I have returned with a greater insight into cutting edge teaching practices, and with an increased enthusiasm for enriching Higher Education through the use of technology and global collaboration.'
