Professor Michael Dobson, Director of the Shakespeare Institute, will be visiting Brussels on 20 March.
Along with representatives of the German and French national Shakespeare societies and of the European Shakespeare Research Association, he will try to persuade the EU to declare Shakespeare the first European Laureate for 2016, the 400th anniversary of the playwrights death.
