As part of the collaboration between the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and the University of Birmingham at The Other Place, there is an exciting opportunity for a University of Birmingham PhD student to work with an RSC artist for up to a total of one week over the spring/summer semesters of 2016.
The collaboration is based on a mutual aspiration to develop a unique hub for rehearsal, training, learning and creativity. It seeks to redefine the relationship between academic work and artistic practice and support the long-term development of the spirit, influence and authority of The Other Place as a centre for creative and academic exchange.
Students are invited to submit a proposed research question that complements one of the research and development areas of participating RSC artists.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 8 December 2015. Another opportunity will be available in 2016/17.
