Lecturer awarded prestigious medal for his contribution to biology education

Congratulations to Roger Lock!

We are delighted to announce that Roger Lock has been awarded the Society of Biology President's Medal for 2012 for his 'enormous contribution to biology education over many years' and has been nominated as one of the top five candidates for the Top Higher Education Teacher Award, sponsored by Oxford University Press. Before retiring last year Roger Lock worked as Lecturer in Science Education at the University of Birmingham for many years and made a tremendous contribution to initial teacher education in Science.
