Former student Sarah Hughes was awarded a Walter Hines Page scholarship, one of only two offered nationally by the NASUWT. The scholarship offers teachers and lecturers a chance to study an aspect of the education system in the USA.
Sarah was a student on the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Children with Visual Impairment programme and is now Head of Science at New College, Worcester. She visited Perkins school in Massachusetts, USA, in October where she focussed on teaching and learning of the visually impaired students. You can read her blog here.
