Karin Barber’s book ‘Print Culture and the First Yoruba Novel’ (Brill, 2012) won the Paul Hair Prize for “the best critical edition or translation into English of primary source materials on Africa”.

The prize was awarded at the African Studies Association meeting in Baltimore (22-25 November 2013). It is awarded every two years and is administered by the Association for the Preservation and Publication of African Historical Sources.
