Anthony Arnull, Barber Professor of Jurisprudence at Birmingham Law School is to give a specialised course at the prestigious Academy of European Law Summer School on the Law of the European Union. The course will take place in July at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.

The overall theme of the Summer School for 2017 is ‘New Legal Approaches to Studying the Court of Justice’. Entitled  ‘From Mewling Infant to Justice, Full of Wise Saws: The Many Ages of the European Court of Justice’, Professor Arnull’s course will examine the role, structure and composition of the Court over time. A substantial text based on his course will subsequently be published in The Collected Courses of the Academy of European Law published by OUP.
