Matthew Rampley will be giving the annual Busch-Reisinger Museum lecture at the University of Harvard on 26 February.

The Museum is one of Harvard’s art museums, and its collections are devoted to German and Austrian art, with particular strengths in the 20th century. Matthew’s lecture is based on his research into the artistic culture of Austria-Hungary and Central Europe. In particular, he will be discussing the role of art museums in cities such as Vienna, Prague, Budapest and Cracow in promoting notions of social, political and cultural identity.
