Paul's thesis - 'Precision Interferometry in a New Shape: Higher-order Laguere-Gauss Modes for Gravitational Wave Detection' was awarded the with the 2012 GWIC Thesis Prize. Paul will receive his award at the Tenth Edoardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves in Warsaw Poland, 7-12 July 2013.
