Resting state fMRI work featured in Scientific American

Chris Miall's recent work using resting state fMRI to study changes in the connectivity of the brain induced by learning was highlighted in an article in Scientific American this month. The commentary by journalist Ferris Jabr discusses the function of resting activity in the brain, and the involvement of rest and sleep in memory consolidation - as well as napping, meditation and creativity!
