HSMC’s Professor Jon Glasby is supporting research being undertaken by Age UK to understand the impact of more person-centred, integrated care on outcomes for older people and for the health and social care system. Building on its initial work supporting service redesign in Newquay (Cornwall), Age UK is now working to facilitate more integrated services in a number of local areas and is seeking to undertake research to build the evidence base around what works. Jon will be providing expert input for the duration of the research, advising on case study selection/design and acting as a critical friend to the process.
Age UK are also a national partner in HSMC’s research into older people’s experiences of emergency hospital admissions and have previously contributed to HSMC’s research into older people’s experiences of moving across service boundaries.
