In response to the current policy emphasis on delivering more integrated health and social care, the University’s School of Social Policy has published five new practical guides to joint working as part of the Policy Press ‘Better Partnership Working’ series.

The five books – on partnership working, teamwork, leadership, interprofessional education and evaluating outcomes – are part of a series edited by Jon Glasby and the University of Melbourne’s Helen Dickinson.  Given the School of Social Policy’s mission ‘to understand the world, but also to change it’, the books draw on the latest research and theory, but are designed to provide practical guides for busy front-line practitioners, their managers and policy makers.  They build on Birmingham’s role as a key source of academic, policy and practice expertise in terms of integrated care, with the ongoing partnership with the University of Melbourne providing an additional international perspective.
