HSMC’s Professor Judith Smith is visiting Australia for a week to share her knowledge and experience of models of primary care delivery with academic and professional colleagues in the country. On 2 August, she will be making a keynote address on ‘emerging models of primary and integrated care’ at the Australasian Compensation Health Research Forum at the Melbourne Convention Centre, Australia: http://achrf.com.au/program/  This is followed by a research workshop at the University of New South Wales in Sydney the following day, where Judith will be discussing the findings from the Australian Government’s national evaluation of Primary Health Care Networks with colleagues from Ernst and Young, the University of New South Wales, and Victoria University of Wellington.  

On 4 August, Judith will be taking part in a round table discussion at the University of Melbourne, on the topic of ‘approaches to research translation’ – invitees include colleagues from the Melbourne University School of Government and Medical School, KPMG Australia, and the Government of Victoria. While in Melbourne, she will also be taking the opportunity to meet  with academic colleagues to explore possible areas of future teaching and research collaborations.
