The University of Birmingham is one of the largest and most diverse employers in the region, with around 7000 staff working in a range of academic, professional, technical, manual and clerical roles.
People are at the heart of what we are and do. We want to attract outstanding, inspirational, and talented people, support them to succeed, and celebrate their success.
In September 2016 the University of Birmingham was proud to welcome our first cohort of apprentices. In spring 2017 we will be recruiting for a range of exciting new roles starting in September 2017.
Apprenticeships at the University of Birmingham
An Apprenticeship at Birmingham provides the experience of working at a leading University. The apprentices recruited will be able to learn and earn at the same time. They range in length from one to four years and will lead to a recognised work based qualification.
The University will be offering a wide range of opportunities. During our pilot year this included roles in our Estates Department, Hospitality and Acccomodation Services, IT and many more.
Apprentices will benefit from the knowledge and talent of our existing teams as well as completing an accredited qualification with a partner training provider. The University will support each apprentice to make the most of this exciting opportunity.
