Award Description

The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust will award bursaries of up to £3000 a year to UK university students, who are in financial need, and whose parent or spouse is a commercial traveller, grocer or pharmacist. Recipients can use the bursary for any reasonable costs connected with going to university, including tuition fees, accommodation costs, living expenses, or equipment to help you study.

Value of Award

The maximum value of any bursary is £3000 per year. However, the amount that you can receive will depend on your financial need, and the total amount of funding the Trust has available to distribute in each year.

Eligibility Criteria

These bursaries are open to full-time undergraduates currently studying on a programme within the University who are the child, spouse, widow or widower of a grocer, pharmacist or commercial traveller. Applicants must provide justification of their reasons for applying for a bursary on their application form.

Applicants must apply via the Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust online application system.

The deadline for the March round is 1 March at 5pm, and the deadline for the November round is 15 October at 5pm.
