The College of Arts and Law (CAL) is excited to announce a new initiative for summer 2017 that offers postgraduate taught (PGT) students the chance to develop their research skills and experience.
The CAL PGT Research Placement scheme is a pilot for summer 2017, that is being funded by the University’s Alumni Impact Fund, and offers students an opportunity to become part of an intellectually stretching, research-rich, multi-disciplinary learning community in a research-intensive university comprised of highly talented students and expert academic and support staff.
The aims are to provide additional research support to Schools and to extend the range of opportunities for current PGT students. If the pilot is successful we will look to secure College funding to develop the scheme in 2017/18.
The scheme will give 4 PGT students the opportunity to gain paid experience over summer 2017 through working in research teams, acquiring skills around research methods and research communication, and understanding the wider impact of research.
